 Some time ago I began to wonder what beginning teachers might find useful to know as they embarked on their educational careers. After all, I had glimpsed the end of my career and I asked myself: what would have helped me back in the day, as they say?

Eventually, my list of DO and DON'T morphed into a petite Manual.
