Time passes through me
Part 1
Have you ever had the experience of thinking you've discovered the thread of a life that you'd placed carefully into a familiar corner of your mind, a place from which you already know it is difficult to extricate that memory?
Is it something truly discovered or something avoided, ignored, unobserved, that memory?
The finger of life thrusts it into your fist and there it is. All you have to do is clench tighter and it will disintegrate.
Part 2
Have you had the experience of rediscovering a life-thread that you have put into another corner of your mind?
It sits there entwined in its skein and waits. Quietly. Sometimes for years. Enfolded. Sometimes for a generation. Until ...
The flow of life whispers it back to memory and there it is. All you have to do is take hold and follow it.
